Our story starts back in 1988, when Ghostbusters and Super Mario was hitting our screens. We met in High school in Cardiff and quickly became pals for life. Little did we know that our friendship would see us through holidays to sunny Majorca and Ibiza, sports matches and supporting each other through university, with a few stories along the way.

As we grew up and pursued our own individual careers we always kept in touch and knew that one day we would work together on property renovation projects, which was our passion. We soon realised that by working together we could really use each other’s strengths to grow a solid business. As Qualified Mortgage Advisers we launched our Mortgage Broker business in 2017, leaving our jobs in IT and Banking. This business has grown successfully and our natural progression was to launch our exciting new business Ray & Brown, a high quality Estate Agent that’s user friendly and cost effective.

So, Ray & Brown was created, a business that keeps things simple, so we were proud to put our names to. Our existing clients comment on how friendly, supportive and easy to work with we are, so we are excited to be the force behind the new Estate Agent on the block.

Jeremy Brown

Director

As one of the founders of Ray & Brown Jeremy has a strong 20 year history in Banking and Property, with qualifications ranging from a University Degree and professional Mortgage Qualifications to sports coaching badges. Jeremy takes real pride in customer service, enjoying the journey as a Qualified Mortgage Broker of helping customer move to their dream homes.

 

Away from the 9-5 Jeremy is the proud husband and dad to Rebecca and daughter Penny. You’ll regularly see him with Penny at their local football club where he coaches her team, along with lots of other age groups, seeing the kids grow and enjoy sport. Jeremy is committed in helping the kids follow their passion.

 

Jeremy’s ambition is to help as many new customers as possible, really make a difference in the Estate Agent sector and be trusted as the local property expert with low fees and high morals. He would also like to beat Carl in a game of tennis, but that might be a bit over ambitious.

Carl Ray

Director

Carl is a founding member and director of Ray&Brown, he holds a first class University Degree and is a fully qualified and practising Mortgage Broker.

 

Being a proud husband to Gwyneth & Dad to Catrin & Emrys takes up Carl’s free time & energy, whether he is chasing tennis balls down playing against Catrin or getting muddy playing rugby with Emrys he loves seeing the pleasure and satisfaction as they develop in their interests and sports and encourages them to always dream big.

 

Having enjoyed a successful career in IT and Finance, in 2017 Carl embraced the challenge of launching an independent mortgage brokerage, he loves seeing the difference that he can make to people’s lives with the right help & advice and building on this success his ambition is to deliver the Ray&Brown vision, of keeping things simple, offering a low cost, high quality service, and helping customers reach their happy place!
